By working across several private industry companies and the U.S. government for the past 10 years, I have become a subject matter expert in information systems security. I currently work as a Senior Cyber Engineer at a defense and aerospace systems company. Certifications: CISSP, CEH.

Engineer
I attended Swarthmore College and Drexel University where I earned my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering along with a Mathematics minor in 2010.
For the past 10 years, I have served my country by working in the defense industry, specifically for the Department of Defense (DoD) and for defense contracting companies, specializing in information systems security.
I've discovered and analyzed vulnerabilities in a variety of technologies and investigated what unintended behaviors may occur due to those flaws. While mentoring new hires and junior engineers daily in the area of vulnerability research and reverse engineering, I have continued my community outreach by mentoring college and high school students in STEM-related subjects.
In 2014, I became a DEFCON CTF finalist, placing in 6th and ranking in the top 1.5% of ethical hackers worldwide. DEFCON CTF competitors are the best in the world!
I also hold a CISSP and CEH certification.
CTF
I played with MIBH. You may know them better as “Men in Black Hats” or “(Mostly) Men in Black Hats”. In 2014, 420 teams attempted to qualify for DEFCON CTF finals. Among the top 20 teams invited to Finals, MIBH placed 6th, ranking in the top 1.5% of ethical hackers worldwide.
I also was a member of the Ghost in the Shellcode (GITS) committee (2014-2015). I was responsible for challenge creation, answering questions of present and remote participants and making sure everyone had a great time during the GITS CTF at ShmooCon.
Entrepreneur
As a member of the Foundation community, I have learned how to rapidly start and scale a software business, entirely from scratch. Our basic approach is to choose an industry that we think is important to the U.S. economy. We conduct dozens of interviews until we find a problem that is really frustrating for that industry. We then work with the top business leaders in that industry to get consensus on the solution wanted.
Throughout my journey, I have acquired the necessary skills to:
- establish the proper entrepreneurial mindset,
- research and validate the pains and unmet needs in a market,
- sketch solutions quickly with customer support,
- pre-sell effectively,
- develop products, and
- scale to the masses.
Most importantly, I know how to survive the entrepreneur roller coaster! If you're interested in taking your business to the next level or participating in my mastermind group, feel free to contact me below.

If you need someone to believe in you and your dream, to rally you on when your back is against the wall, to help you get your mind right when self-doubt and self-sabotage creep in, I'm here for you.

Outside of work, I live an active lifestyle. I enjoy doing extreme fitness programs like P90X and Insanity, running, biking, swimming, tactical firearm training, Krav Maga and watching UFC.
